Time management tips for senior managers is a topic we picked up in the wake of massive burnouts that we even seem unaware of.

Some people have a hard time staying focused because the piles and stacks distract them from the task at hand. Rather than simply piling all of your paperwork into a single “in-box” tray, consider setting up a series of action files in a rack or box on your desk with one for each type of to-do.

Always give yourself a little more time than you think you may need in order to avoid unnecessary setbacks. All of us have some time in the day that can be better used--for example, commuting, exercising or showering.
No matter where you work, distractions abound in the form of email, social media, meetings or coworkers wanting to chat about last night's episode of "The Newsroom," current events or their children. Delegating is a daily part of IT management and core to better time management, offering a huge increase in your productivity.
Know Yourself: A large part of time management is about becoming aware of your behavior patterns. Answering the phone or reading incoming emails while working on the project that has tomorrow as a deadline will not only cost you time  for the obvious reasons, but it will also take the focus away from the high-priority task.
